The year was 1992, I was 17 going on 18. I was preparing to enlist in the army when on August 5, 1992 arrived. A car-full of young people decided to go out and shoot someone as an initiation into their gang. My family was impoverished, so we didn't have a phone in our house, so we relied on the public phone on the street corner of Armitage & Kedzie in Chicago.
I walked there with my then-boyfriend who had a pager and received a page from his family. His mother got some spray in her eyes and was rushed to the Emergency Dept. After calling for an update, we began the 2-minute journey back to our apartment. Unbeknownst to me, there was a car driving around with gang members throwing up some of their signs.
As we crossed the street the people in the car were shouting gang slogans. I shouted in response, "We're not down with that Sh**!" We kept walking and the car turned in our direction, I knew what was going to happen and had a strategy to escape, but the first shot that was fired ricocheted off of a brick wall and hit me square in the right ear.
I was halfway up a fence ready to jump over when I yelled, "I'm hit!" I stayed in a 2-second daze thinking that, "I'm dead." The last shot fired ricocheted off the ground and pierced my left calf. Some people say that they didn't feel it when they got shot, but I felt like something the size of a large marble penetrated my leg.
I was rushed to the hospital by a bystander nicknamed, "Birdie" in her car. The ambulance was taking too long and I was bleeding all over. Thank God for Birdie. I was stabilized and went home the following day. This event changed my life forever.
Mr. Persident, the difference between us is that you stayed awake and alert when you were hit with that first bullet and knew better to duck down while I was dazed. What I saw on Saturday brought all of my trauma back and instead of staying dazed, I prayed and prayed.
I know how awkward things can get after taking a bullet, getting back to the way life was can be challenging. I still see you walking confidently and upright like a real leader. I still have PTSD from what I endured in 1992. We are all built differently, but we are all precious to God.
He holds us in the palm of His hand and no one can pluck us from his hands. Everything you stand for is for small people like me to exercise my God-given rights. I've suffered so many ways and am now on disability because of the multiple types of trauma that I've endured in my life living under Democrat rule.
In light of what has happened over the last week, I just wanted you to know that the Holy Spirit of God is with you no matter how anyone tries to demonize and dehumanize you. No one in this world is perfect, we all have our flaws. However, it's the actions that you have taken that draw people to pray for you now more than ever.
The truth is that your values and actions stand for righteousness and the freedom that God has intended for us all along. You stand for free will while the left seeks to strip us of our freedoms. We can look throughout the Bible and find that some of the most righteous in God's were flawed. Humans only look at the outside while our God looks at the heart.
I can sense the authenticity and sincerity when you articulate your message. Your message reminds me of the 80s when we weren't oppressed by big government regulations that crippled our families. I've spent the last 3 years in fear that I will lose all that I have fought and suffered for. I pray for freedom, however, you only have one term left. Please pass on the legacy of peace through strength and serving the People well.
" Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17. This is a spiritual battle, we must be prepared to fight for freedom and righteousness. I'm proud to stand there with you on the side of Good. God bless you, Mr. President.

Here we go again. This time I go for the jugular with this one. I unload on everyone because I can't go another minute without saying something.
To stay quiet would do more harm than good. Once this piece goes mainstream, I will be considered the enemy. I'd rather be insulted than to be quiet. Again, please forgive any errors in grammar, spelling or punctuation. I try to edit the best I can, but I do miss some things.

Read along with me as I share my story and look to serve my fellow Illinoisans. Socialism is alive and well. It's located in Chicago, Illinois.
According to the Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitution, the individual state legislature, in conjunction with local mayors, town presidents, city council, state senators and representatives, all set policy in your neighborhood. No, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi does not run Chicago along with JB Pritzker. Pritzker is the one who communicates on our behalf to the leaders in DC.
Believe it or not, that is how many Chicagoans are taught. Unfortunately, I grew up thinking this; until I started teaching myself. I l had to learn the material in order to teach it. Wow, was I clueless! Take a look at my video.
In this episode, I rant and rave, and stutter. It's not a perfect message, but we have to bring our communities together. This racism mess has finally gone too far.
I'm still working out the kinks with this podcast thing. I have to be sure that my set time to post is okay for me.
I will be posting on Monday and Wednesday each week. Let's see how things go.
Here's today's episode:
"Who Am I? Why Am I Running?"
In this episode, I give you a glimpse of my personal story as well as the law enforcement aspect of government. I address the topic of political leaders who insult their own voters in order to dodge accountability. Your voice is powerful and we all need to ask questions regarding issues that have affected our lives and community.
